HISTORY
In 1979, an association of grocery storeowners came together seeking to
improve the quality of their health benefit programs. The now President
of Western Benefits was asked to design a program and develop the administrative
support to manage their Health Trust Plan.
In 1999, an ownership transition required that the administration of the
Trust be outsourced. It was then that Western Benefits, Inc. was created
by Ross Dwinell to meet the ongoing needs of the Trust. Today, at $6 million
in premium, the plan is still managed by many of the same professionals.
Western Benefits has expanded its services to meet the needs of new employers,
associations in several industries.
Over 20 years of experience has served the group well as they continue
to create new and better solutions for clients. The environment for health
benefits continues to become more complex and costly. The professional
and experienced staff at WBI is committed to responding to these challenges.
